NYE 2011 - 2012

at a local bar a couple weeks ago - we made Boston.com -  Spotted in Boston: Out and about in the city!

Tripp and I are long distance during the weeks (M - F) due to his current work location (Oregon), so we celebrated Vday early on Sunday.  We had a nice little couples massage (which we gifted each other) and dinner out at one of the best restaurants I have tried in Boston, Erbaluce.
It is a small Italian restaurant near the Back Bay area of Boston, tucked away between some bigger building and brownstones.  There are a decent number of seats in the dining room and we have never had an issue getting a table reservation.  The kitchen is open to view from the dining room and the menu is always different - they cook whatever they could source local and fresh that day.  The dress is dressy casual (I wouldn't show up in sweats, but I was probably on the higher end dressed in a skirt, heels and blazer)

The food is out of this world! The flavors and presentation are untouchable and to top off each delicious meal, the chef himself (or the maitre d)  brings each table a small plate of homemade truffles (usually 2 - 3 per person!) and thanks you for dining there - I love, love the personal touches and the attentative staff.  It was the perfect place for a cozy, delicious date night!

So, since I am flying solo on the fay o' Love....I am going to meet up with a group of fabulous ladies, grab some good dinner and a drink or two, and cry my eyes out to The Vow :) Oh, and I am stopping to pick up some more chocolate on the way...because I need chocolate while I cry during my chick flick...obviously :)

In all seriousness though, I can't tell you how much I love the man in my life and my friends that surround me...and I cannot WAIT to get to my girl's date tonight :)
